The Justice League computer duplicates the growth ray and the Super Friends use it to battle the Legion of Doom. After battling gaseous monsters, Flash creates a tornado that sends the Super Friends back to Earth where they reconfigure the Justice League satellite into letting them through the force field. On Saturn a device of Batman frees the Superfriends from the ice. Bizarro conquers Washington DC, Sinestro takes over Peking, Captain Cold invades Africa and Toyman attacks London. After a brief fight, the Super Friends are captured by Captain Cold's freeze ray and sent to Saturn as the Legion of Doom creates a force field around the Earth to keep them out.
They use the Justice League's computer to create the Growth Ray and enlarge themselves.

Lex Luthor and Brainiac attack the Hall of Justice in the guise of freeing their teammates, but it is a ruse to distract the Super Friends as the captured villains free themselves using Sinestro's ring, which was removed but was prepared to go off at a certain time. Meanwhile Toyman and Captain Cold pursue another element at the Parthenon but Aquaman and Green Lantern end up capturing them. However, Batman, Robin and Superman repair the moon, save the two astronauts, and capture the two villains. Bizarro & Sinestro retrieve one of the elements from the moon's core by cutting it in half. He has already obtained one, a formula from an asteroid. After reversing all of the destruction and apprehending the Legion of Doom, the Legion uses the monolith one last time to escape.īizarro can create a device to enlarge the Legion of Doom to 100 feet but needs three rare elements first. The Hall of Justice computer reveals that the monolith is not evil, it just appears that way because it is being controlled by evil beings this gives Wonder Woman the plan to control it telepathically to do good. Batman uses the Batplane's freeze ray on the monster, but another beam from the monolith allows it to move. Wonder Woman, Batman & Robin launch an attack on the Hall of Doom which is protected by the monolith, which produces a water monster. While the Legion of Doom wreaks havoc upon the east coast, Apache Chief, Green Lantern and Flash rescue their trapped teammates, and Green Lantern cuts Superman free. After Hawkman, Black Vulcan & Superman obtain the power source, Grodd the Gorilla incapacitates Superman with a kryptonite chain and ball which is attached to Superman's leg and seals them in the underground inferno. Unable to achieve their goal, they decide to trick the Super Friends into retrieving the monolith for them. So he, Cheetah, Riddler & Grodd search under the Earth's crust for it after the Hall of Doom is used to burrow through the Earth, but it is defended by a lava monster. Solomon Grundy convinces The Legion Of Doom to pursue a monolith that is supposed to be the source of all evil and gave him powers.
